RE: USING BCE AND CE INSTEAD OF B.C. AND A.D.

This challenge and changing or our Western world’s common calendar dating system is annoying. I was trying to read up a Wikipedia story and I found the dating system of BCE and CE distracting --- and it’s questionable to challenge and change the dating system of the Western world for the last hundreds of years. Is Wikipedia and others who do this trying to be politically correct? -- Who says this is politically correct? Muslims? Jews? -- 'It seems foolish since the pivotal date is still linked to the birth of Christ'.

I’m not a Christian anymore but I was raised so and see value in that culture and the "golden rule," for those Christians who actually practice what they preach (i.e. treat others like you would like to be treated: the one and only commandment of Jesus Christ) -- but, even though my personal beliefs have evolved I’m sorry, I’m not changing my calendar and won’t link to any articles that do - and find it impossible to read through them since I find the changing of the current worldwide Western calendar system is distracting, and that single fact is perhaps the most valid consideration in writing: does any change make it better or worse? easier to understand or not?

Changing the dating system brings up other issues unrelated to the content of the Topic, what I’m interested in reading about. It’s distracting and annoying.

I’d encourage Christians, btw, to 'wake up,' about this subversion of their culture. First Christmas becomes Xmas, and Saint Santa Claus more important than the birth of Christ, and TV all about Old Testament stories and Zionist spins of the story of Jesus (like 'King of Kings') which wraps up the story of Christ with Zionist revolution against Rome -- sickening, truly sickening. And now we have a dating system that deletes Christ...well, I’m not on board and who exactly is?

And any soft soap that wants to wash this away as minor or understandable is slush or slurry, tripe or trash, (take your pick). A fundamental tenet of the Western world is being subverted right under our noses and something doesn’t smell right about it.

Yesterday I heard someone say, "If you laid all the world's economist end to end, you still wouldn't reach a conclusion."

All this blah blah talk does provide a smokescreen, though, for shipping our jobs overseas (with taxpayer support), giving government subsidies to the richest oil companies in the world (with taxpayer support), making laws for the benefit of the Big Banks, Big Insurance and Big Business interests rather than the average citizen, etc.

We are fortunate, though, that we appear to have a President who has a heart, integrity, and is trying to take steps in the right direction. The current issue is a clear as the difference between night and day: Let the unfair Bush Tax Cuts for the SuperRich expire -- they are not paying their fair share and we need the money.

All those economist laying on the road, btw, almost half say giving tax cuts to the SuperRich helps generate jobs. Almost all the other half are sailing on the yatch's the Superrich own, or bowing down at the Queen's carriage: They know who butter's their bread.

This way, any Tweet I make would resonate from the White House, through CNN to the Great Wall of

A cool new thing discovered along the way was an auto-generated 'Delicious Cloud.'…um, a 'cloud,'

is a list of tags, so larger than others and a bit hard to describe unless you've seen one.

Walk around wearing them, never at a loss for words - or topics to bring up.

This underscores how difficult a whole treaty must if just one word can be wrong and one word was the whole message!

Now, put that in Arabic, and then wrap it up with a tendency of politicians, diplomats and nations to avoid any harsh truths, not counting the outright liar, the challenges of the world become clearer: we're a bunch of chattering chimps (and sometimes, chumps)

People have reported the word: Peregruzka, means 'overloaded or overcharged." When Ms. Clinton was told this she handled it well, laughed and said, "Well, we're not going to let you over charge us."

But I think the nuance of the word is like an electrical circuit being overcharged (not over charged like on a shopping trip, showing has misspeaking can lead to more and language skills are not easy.

I think the button tells the Russian's that our relationship was is like an overloaded fuse box...that needs to be reset (like you can reset fuses). Frankly, that's probably a pretty good way of looking at it.

What President Obama means by 'reset,' is still not certain. Perhaps he's thinking of his Blackberry PDA that occasionally needs to be reset. Or did he mean "reboot," like rebooting a computer?

The red button, though, was probably a better gift than giving the Russians and old fishing boot or something.

The news event yesterday that stirred this post was: Bin Laden's driver convicted of Terrorism. For reasons given below this strikes me as justice like FEMA was a rescue of New Orleans.

Unfortunately there is no single face to point the blame at here. Bush, Cheney, White House lawyers and warmongering neocons certainly, but then again it was a vast majority in Congress that passed the law, the Military Commissions Act, in 2006, setting up the travesty of these military courts in Guantanamo Bay and the previous Detainee Treatment Act of 2005 that allows for the continuation of CIA-run secret prisons and treatment that the rest of the world calls torture but the White House deceitfully calls "harsh interrogation," or physical coercion which is allowed and from which "evidence," is allowed.

But the Pentagon has to be considered the ultimate National Villains in this case. They are the ones who also lobbied for and staged this fiasco; and despite all the platitudes we are expected to repeatedly give to the U.S. military this makes it clear their hands and their hearts are not clean.

ALL the 'evidence,' that convicted bin Laden's chauffeur came from statements under torture.

So many previously believed U.S. values have been cheapen and trashed by this that it's difficult to know where to begin. There is a link on the title of this post and it leads to a British headline that reads:
"Guantanamo Bay is just a farcade (edifice) of justice."and some reasons of why this is a travesty and disgrace for America are printed there. An article in Newsweek points out that even if this kangaroo court had any value only one-third of the prisoners are scheduled to have a trial and the other two-thirds will stay in prison because they have (subjectively) been declared by someone as: "unlawful enemy combatants." a new definition, this issue of indefinite detention without trial was also mentioned by the BBC

It's been reported that even if this driver was found not guilty he would still stay in jail, reported by the Christian Science Monitor,The Washington Post that same aarticle in the BBCthe international edition of Britsh pressGlobe&Mail and of course, Amnesty International

The fact that this man would stay in jail even if found innocent is what make it clear to me that this is no justice at all.

Other have pointed out the issues of allowing secret evidence,hearsay evidence
evidence derived through "coercise interrogations," years without a lawyer, short limited access to a lawyer just before the trial, limits on the laywer, 40 interrogations without notification of "Mirandia rights," courtroom attendance by invitation only and sometimes a totally closed court, and unidentified jury and the need for only 2/3 of the jury for criminal conviction are also against American previous principles of justice.

It bothers some too that the crime he was found guilty of was not the crime he was arrested for and charged with in the first prosecution attempt. (This was the third trial of Hamdan who 'won,' a Supreme Court victory that scrapped the first version of these Guantanamo military court systems in 2006).

And it bothers some that the crime he was convicted of was not a law unti years after his arrest and many feel it was a law, a new idea of what's a "war crime," that was specifically designed to fit his case, the prosecutors only had to prove that Hamdan knew the people he was driving around were involved in war and the evidence was that he admitted that.

There was no evidence or charge that Hamand ever killed anyone, wounded anyone, blew up anything or ever fired a weapon of any sort.

In truth, BTW, Hamdan didn't "win," anything in that Supreme Court decision because he remained in jail and will remain in jail as this case is appealed (which has already begun) and will probably wind up in the Supreme Court again, and, if so, Hamdan will still stay in jail even if the Supreme Court decides in his favor. He's just a prisoner who has become a political football and another incident that the Bush White House will delay and delay until they are out of office and it's someone else's problem.

To this this is a "fair trial," -- as the White House and Pentagon claim -- is to either be successfully fooled by the government, or to be a fool. If anyone thinks this is justice then I can only hope they will experience it for themselves someday.

William Lantos was a strong supporter of the 1991 Persian Gulf War. During the run-up to the war, Lantos used his Congressional Human Rights Caucus to host a well-spoken young Kuwaiti woman identified only as "Nurse Nayirah", who told of horrific abuses by Iraqi soldiers, including the killing of Kuwaiti babies by taking them out of their incubators and leaving them to die on the cold floor of the hospital. These alleged atrocities figured prominently in the rhetoric at the time about Iraqi abuses in Kuwait. This story later proved to be a complete fabrication. "Nurse Nariyah" was, in fact the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States, and had been coached on this story by the PR firm of Hill & Knowlton, who were paid $14 million by representatives of the Government of Kuwait to create a PR campaign to generate U.S. support for an invasion. Hill & Knowlton also provided free office space to the Congressional Human Rights Foundation (distinct from the similarly named caucus), of which Lantos was co-chair at the time.
Besides using these deliberate and fabricated lies to start the first Persian Gulf war this zsionist extremist also was a big advocate of the current war in Iraq and helped pushed those lies too.
Now he is now stirring up 100-year old accusations and charges of genocide against Turkey!?

This is perplexing. What is the politics behind this? Why now?

To be clear about the genocide charges, BTW, it seems there were mass killings and maybe way more than a million souls sent to death. But why now? And also, what about the issue of potential genocide in Darfur? Or if you want to go back into the past what about policies of the British causing genocide in Ireland? Or what about the surrent slow starvation of over a million people in Palestine, in the Gaza strip?

Of course the USA is never going to accuse Britian of genocide. And of course the USA is never going to accuse Israel of genocide. And of course the USA's own policies of genocide against Native American Indians is not going to be mentioned: So it is clear there is politics involved in all this and considering Lantos' history and Zealot extremist ideology one can only conclude it has something to do with stirring up more trouble and unrest in the Middle East.

I guess Turkey (a current USA ally is now to be added to the list of Bad States in the Middle East, to go along with Iraq, Iran, Jordon, Syria, Saudia Arabia, Dubai, all of the Arab Emirates, etc.

But none of this bodes well for the USA. Now it specifically and clearly turns a former ally against us (at a most critical time when that ally feels it necessary to possibly invade in norther Iraq Kurdish terroritories!).

The Turks, BTW, FYI -- for the info of us all -- are not a 'weak,' people noted for being pushed around. Quite the Opposite! Consider the expression: 'Young Turk,' for example. It means: 'Tough Dude.'

Yup, not we're messing around not only with a (probably 'former;) ally but with a bunch of tough dudes. This clearly is not in American interest.

Former CIA Director George Tenet has a book coming out this weekend and has been making the rounds of TV talks shows, "defending his honor."

He might have honor if he would tell the truth.The complete truth about the fabrication and use of False Intel to mislead the nation into war. The truth about torture.

But, no. He now just adds more 'smoke and mirrors,' more confusion about the war crimes of torture and the national treason of using False Intel to go to war.

Instead of 'torture,' Tenet actually says we have: 'High Value Detainee programs,' and they are at: 'undisclosed locations,' i.e. secret prisons.

God. He's even a disgrace to the coherent and clarity of the English language.

He is not telling the truth. He's REMAINS A traitor to the true interest of our nation. He's covering up evil deeds, by himself and/or others.

He stares into the camera and tells the interviewer: "We Don't Torture," for example which the photos of USA torture at Abu Garaib have been viewed worldwide.

An honest man or one more clever in deception would at least say or try to claim: "We don't torture anymore."

But there is a big problem with that. If he admitted to any torture at any time that would be a war crime. So: "We don't torture," this pompous, sleazy, fat-ass says, to the disgrace of himself and the American people.

If he, or so many others, could tell the truth and we'd have a chance to make things right but now he's spilling out words just to cover his own ass, make himself look good, bring in big bucks from the book deal, but no...he's not even coming close to letting us know what really when down with these FALSE CLAIMS OF SADDAM HAVING WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.

And he knows. He was part of it. He could name names. He could tell the truth and help the nation.

And just think, he got a Medal of Freedom. What a disgrace. It disgraces the Medal of Freedom forever. Maybe if he returned this Medal of Freedom he might have some dignity and honor and maybe the Medal of Freedom would mean something again; but all it means now is that liars and deceivers like to give themselves show and tell.

After presenting the nation with crap and bullshit for years with all his promises and predictions on how well the War would go and all the pseudo-reasons, false reasons USA should be there...well...he get's this plum payoff job, appointed by George Bush as head of the World Bank.

But now he's caught having an affair with an employee. Get's her a half-a-million dollar paycheck, from our tax dollars, (BEFORE TAXES!) and discredits the World Bank to the max.

Bill Clinton got impeached for less, a lot less. What he did didn't involve half-a-million dollar payoff's for having sex nor did he, himself, drag the nation into the mud.

His current scandal reflects the type of man he is; just someone who's into padding his own bed and paying off people to puff up his pillow (at our expense, and at the expense of the World Bank), but his greater crimes are, no doubt, the constant drumbeat and false reasons he gave for being one of the leaders misleading our nation into war.

Former Deputy Director of the Department of Defense Wolffowitz has done this. Attorney General Gonzales lies to Congress. Because if the polls are correct, a recent Gallup poll, Jewish Americans oppose the war in Iraq more vigorously than any other religious group in the US. Seventy-seven percent of US Jews (and 89 percent of Jewish Democrats!) believe the war in Iraq was a mistake.

So then AIPAC must be applying all this pressure for another Jewish community, Zionist.

Like charlatans working in the dark, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC)-- American Jews -- paved the way in Congress last week to allow for another war, the upcoming War in Iran.

Bush and his White House changed one of the essential principles and laws of our Constitution, and they did it on the sly, secretly, in the dark. There are probably dozens of such secret provisions that eat away at the basic foundations of our country, but the issue, this week, that has become a prime-time focus is the Attorney General Alberto Gonzales appointing new state Attorney Generals without Senate confirmation.

Senate confirmation was the norm prior to this sneaky, unconstitutional provision put into the Patriot Act. In fact, more than just a 'norm,' it is an example of the essential need for oversight to prevent exactly what is now happening: A President just doing what he wants, regardless of law or Congress or public opinion.

It's an intentionally circumventing of Senate confirmations of their new replacement candidates so they can replace who they want, for any reasons they want, and put in anyone they want unchallenged, i.e. Absolute power.

Confirmations by Congress used to be required for each key appointment, but thanks to the so-called Patriot Act and some provisions noone apparently bothered to read at the time, Gonzales is now free to install his own “heckofajob Brownie” types in office. It is not clear whether is it simply the usual Bush Administration contempt for competence or a pre-emptive strike against efficacy of future criminal investigations into Bush activities.

The Brits Leave Iraq. White House Declares Success.

It's another tough entry, trying to pick the 'Villain of the Week.' But the winner is:

That's right, and Tony Snow gets to bring home the Oscar for the gang.

When Britain announced this past week that it was going to start withdrawing troops from Iraq, the White House decided to spin this as a 'success,' because it showed that an area of Iraq was stabilized enough to allow for such a withdraw.

Other people saw this as:
1. The Brits giving up on the Iraq war.
2. The Brits deciding to take those troops and put them in Afghanistan
3. The Brits getting out of the way of the projected war with Iran
(they are on the Iranian border, between US troops and Iran)
4. The Brits making nasty statements about the US military on their way out.
5. Nobody leaving anywhere because 5,000 troops are staying for at least another year.

This last point merits additional development. It seems that 'withdrawing,' means leaving most of our troops behind. In essence, the 'victory' of the US Peace Movement would be to bring 50,000 soldiers home and leave 99,999 three; and to partition the country into three parts -- for their own good/divide and conquer; and just stay in our remote desert bases while sucking up the Oil.

Amen. Oh Lord. Peace at Last.

And Press Secretary Tony Snow gets the award for being the patsy havingto say this in public, to have to say: "Brits leaving. Shows we're winning."

He had to call in sick the next day, though. We have to give him credit for that.

Yesterday, a historical vote in Congress, in the House of Representatives, a resolution against a build-up of the War in Iraq was passed. It was the first time, the very first time in nearly 4-full-years of disastrous war the the conflict was finally discussed.

Republicans in the U.S Senate blocked such a resolution from even being discussed. Today, again today they are expected to block discussion once again. Their claim is that since this in a non-binding resolution it is meaningless.

If it's so "meaningless," what's the hassle?

Every word spoken by these Republican obstructionist is a lie, deception, false. All a lesson in a current example of Machiavellian spitefulness.

Their political tactic is insisting that another resolution is introduced and discussed at the same time, a resolution deliberately intended to be divisive -- a resolution they don't even believe in: a resolution to cut off funding for the troops.

The intent is to both divide the Democratic party and make them look weak claiming that if Democrats were 'really serious' about opposing the war they would want to cut off funds...so they introduce a resolution to cut off funds, a resolution they don't even believe in.

But the Democrats don't want to cut off funds for the war. They want to START TALKING about the issue.

These Republican obstructionist could probably even teach Machiavelli a thing or two, which is too bad for our country, too bad for democracy, and too bad for all those killed and maimed by the war, all those made homeless and refuges, all those who have lost jobs, property, and businesses.

The Pentagon Inspector General has released a report today pointing the finger at the man in the center of the picture above -- a man now accused of being at the center of fabricating false intelligence to start the War in Iraq.

The Senate Armed Services Committee was that the office headed by former Pentagon policy chief Douglas J. Feith took “inappropriate” actions in advancing conclusions on al-Qaida connections not backed up by the nation's intelligence agencies."

Rick Renzi, is one of the few Congressman who received money from convicted felon Jack Abramoff and has refused to give it back! So now in Arizona we have a Congressman using money stolen from Indian tribes to campaign in Indian Country.

Now Renzi,R-AZ,D1; is sending out a automatic phone message, this robocall says: Ellen Simon (his opponent) got a little secret she doesn't want you to know. "This is as close to any issue Renzi has discussed: His opponent has 'a secret.' His opponent is a bad person.

Although in the national this is a little noted race it could be a victory for Democrats that could turn control of the House of Representatives over to them. As national poll numbers about the number of House seats "in play," vary widely -- and therefore even Democratic victory counts -- the poll numbers on Renzi v. Simon also vary widely: Last month she was 13-points down; the most recent poll now says she is 3-points ahead!? It's hard to tell where the lies and distortions begin and end, even with the poll numbers and (we have to fear) maybe even with the vote count.

But one things for sure, Rick Renzi's slimy and undocumented innuendo (Ellen's 'little secret,') his broadcasting of her husband's ex-wife's affairs (how can this possibly be Ellen's responsibility or within her control -- in fact perhaps it's one of the valid reasons her husband divorced), and Renzi TV ads are as repugnant as someone else's dirty and stained laundry.

It's part of the general Republican strategy of 'fear and smear.' Not a singe word about a single issue has been mentioned by Renzi and he has refused a public debate.

If you write to Renzi about the War in Iraq or NSA domestic spying, or with objections to the military commissions that now endorse torture and violate the Geneva conventions as well as destroying our justice system, Renzi writes back about his getting funding for a local road. This is all he has to say about anything: "I built six miles of highway," as if these pittance could not be done by anyone else.

Even Renzi's pork is pathetic: more like bacon crumbs left over from DC's orgy of spending, than even a decent pork roast.

In Renzi TV ad his biggest (false) accusation is that Ellen Simon supports NAMBLA! Great, the Republican have the reality of a gay sexual Congressional predator feasting on a pool of Pages, and it's Ellen Simon accused of advocating predatory homosexuality. He's also accused Simon supports as being convicted felons, when it's Republican congressman and lobbyist who have been the real convicted felons this year.

Facts and issues don't make a difference to Renzi, it seems.

Arizona does have a Real Hero, BTW, Pat and Kevin Tillman, who both joined the Army after 9/11. Pat Tillman initially got some national attention because he was a NFL player, and later because of his unfortunate death (now admitted to be by friendly-fire)

Kevin Tillman, formerly of the 2nd Battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment, wrote an incredible letter this week, published online, in which he said: “Somehow, the same incompetent, narcissistic, virtue-less, vacuous, malicious criminals are still in charge of this country. This week the Iraqi Congress refused to divide the country into three parts: Kurds in the north, Sunni's in the barren middle, and Shiities in the South. In my enthusiasm for discovering local county, state and national candidates worth voting for (All except this U.S. Senator candidate from my home state of Arizona, thug Jim Pederson, warmonger) this web log started to talk about all these great people and hopes and fine ideals.

This web log is suppose to be focused on 'Bad-Boy-Bashing,' giving the wicked tongues of the real right-wing fascist of this world a taste of their own medicine: Fighting Back!

So, back to business, this week the Pope's inflamatory rehtoric pissed off the entire Muslim/Islamic world. Not bad for just one idiotic quote from a 14th Century King...as if this guy's 14th century idea was any more or less than others.

The Pope has dodged an apology, saying only he was sorry for the 'reaction,' it caused: killing nuns, burning churches, throwing sticks and stones, etc. He also said just because he quoted from this 14th Century King doesn't mean he endorsed the idea.

Sure. Right. Yea....When the Pope said that I knew he was full of Bushshit. You don't quote someone unless you're trying to use their ideas to boister and support your own; OR, unless you trying to quote them to show what idiots they are.

It's obvious from the Pope's pedantic speech he's now inflected upon the world, that he was quoting this 14th Century king to HELP his Pope-ish point of view, not to say what an idiot the King was.

This now makes it clear -- and why all the Muslim world is upset -- is that our current, ever-deepening wars in the Middle East are being turned into a New Crusades, a war of ideology rather than terrority or resources, a religious war.

Religious Wars stink, the worst wars in the world and nobody really wins: there's NOTHING to win. It's just another excuse to kick someone's butt, keep them enslaved or second-class citizens, and take away their homes and jobs, destroy their families, kill their citizens, and steal everything you can for yourself.

It's not much to be proud of, really.

Death Knell for Democracy?

When writing yesterday's blog listing all the local, county, state and national campaigns for office -- and the need, I think, to Vote Democratic from A to X -- I recalled a line from our Founding Father's about the need for a "well-informed electorate."

But I doubt if we have a "well-informed electorate." Everybody's got their own lives. Everybody's busy.

FACTUALLY we have a very Low Voter Turnout and rather than being "well-informed," the slate of candidates and districts is confusing from the beginning and how could we possibly get to know them all?

So, there are some cracks in the Liberty Bell.

But I believe it's best to vote rather than not. Not voting is giving up. Voting means hope. So it just comes down to a personal choice: Do you want to give up or do you want to keep hope alive?

This year I say: VOTE DEMOCRATIC: FROM A TO X!

It's a pretty long list and it's not surprising most folks find it confusing.

Cynically -- not only do I have to agree with the confusion even to know all of our candidates in our elections but almost wonder if it wasn't done on purpose: with different candidates for different neighborhood precincts, county candidates, state candidates that may be in more than one county, and national candidates as well: all gerrymandered to add to the confusion.

But -- we have to fight fire with fire. We have to be at least as smart as our opponents. If they can handle it, so can we. Plus, there are some good people in these elections: David Widmaier is running again for Judge in Pinetop-Lakeside; Phil Cobb is running for State Senator District 5; and of course there is Ellen Simon's for House of Representative, Arizona, Congressional District 1

See...it's not that hard to get a handle on these names and election zones. Just think of it as a horserace; or a video game; or, perhaps, think of it as a battle and if you lose your life and country can be made better or worse. So, as a Democratic bumper sticker says: Vote Democrat. The Ass You Save May Be Your Own.

But, either way. Vote. It feels good. It's the right thing to do.

I was hoping to say: "Vote Democratic from A to Z; from Top to Bottom; Vote the whole ballot Democratic," but unfortunately -- even though we need to get rid of Bush to restore honor and decency in our country -- just because someone's a Democrat certainly doesn't make them the Savior; no, we could just be replacing one political gangster with another.

So - Vote Democrat (if you can). Vote Democrat from A to X.

Ellen Simon has done us all a great service: She's given us someone and something worth voting for.

Elections -- if I haven't made the point yet -- are where and when we can Fight Back! Sure, all we can do during the off-years is cry and complain; but that's over. Let's get these Republican buttheads out of office before we not only lose our country, lose our ideals, but lose our history and our future as well.

National Consequences of Arizona Primary Election

The Democrats need 6 new US Senators and/or 15 new US Representives to take over at least one House of Congress and give them some leverage to actually challenge White House policies, rather than just complain about them.

How can Arizona help?

It depends who you talk to. Right now the US Senator who's running for office, US Senator John Kyle is considered a safe bet to win re-election and his opponent, Jim Pederson didn't do a very good job on national TV last night, when stumbling over attempted answers to Cris Matthews on MSNBC's 'Hardball."

Pederson didn't have any 'plans.' But he thought we should 'plan' to make a 'plan.' All attempts to get straight answers from the man failed, questions like: "Are you in favor of the War in Iraq," or: 'How do you feel about immigration policies?

Despite overwhelming popular disgust at thousands of illegal immigrants invading Arizona Every Day it seems Pederson couldn't even come up with a straight answers about this, perhaps because the national Democratic Party is still playing softball on this crisis.

Something to think about: Conservative Republican Randy Graf won the party's nod to replace GOP Rep. Jim Kolbe, who is retiring. National Republicans had jumped in to support a more moderate rival, state Rep. Steve Huffman, worried the seat might go Democratic if a conservative candidate won.

So, despite the National Republician also trying to play softball on this immigration (perhaps not wanting to go against the President), the real voice of the people in Arizona shouted out loud and clear: 'Illegal trespass into the USA is not only a security concern -- Wake Up America! -- but is just destroying the economic and social fabric of our state.

But despite US Senator Kyle's seat appearing super-secure and Randy Graf getting strong support there now does appear to be two (2) seats in the House of Representatives up for grabs, at least in the view of some pundits.

Ellen Simon, in District 1, A former attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union, won a 5-way primary to challenge hidious Rep. Rick Renzi. There is a substantial Democratic registration advantage in the district, but Renzi enjoyed strong bipartisan support in his 2004 re-election bid. He's now considered vunerable.

Many think the Republician incumbent in District 5 is even more vunerable, and claim this race will rise to be one of the most watched in the nation as Democrats attempt to reclaim Congress in November!

Republician Rep. J.D. Hayworth has served six terms in Congress. Challenger Harry Mitchell is a popular former mayor of Tempe who most recently served in the state Senate.

The races are off and running now. The smell of hot dogs in the air. Buttons popping up on jackets and banners waving in the air. Let's hope we can kick these mean-spirited, divisive, lying, war-mongering Republicians out of office.

Vice President Dick Cheney appeared on Meet The Press yesterday, ,9/10/06, the day before the 9/11 5th year 'anniversary.' - to answer questions on Iraq, Afghanistan, and the administration's new detainee policy.

After being forced to admit that Saddam Hussein did not have weapons of mass destruction, the Vice President was asked whether he would still have invaded Iraq knowing that there were no WMDs. Cheney responded:

"The world is better off because Saddam Hussein is in jail instead of in power in Baghdad. It was the right thing to do and if we had it to do over again, we'd do exactly the same thing."

Cheney continued to insist on the link between Iraq and al-Qaeda and claimed not to have read the Senate Intelligence Report disproving the connection. The Vice President also defended the administration's new detainee policy and the use of secret CIA prisons.

The Navajo County Democratic Committee has canceled it normal monthly meeting for next week, Sept. 12th, because it would cause a conflict with the more important Arizona State Democratic Primary.

Joining Leftyblogs - 61 Days to Elections

For the last year this blog and my other sites (see sidebar) have discussed many issues, from FEMA to Bush's failed presidency but as mid-term elections have drawn nearer and nearer local commitments had to be made.

My main site, http://www. goliveUSA.com has been totally turned over and revised to focus on Elections2006. The one link from that main page goes to a newly revised political action page that has links for: county, state, and Federal election information.

This week I've joined the local Navajo County Democrat Party in Arizona, met the County Chair and he has put me to work making up web pages and searching for county voter registeration mailing lists, phone numbers and email addresses of county voters. I've also been taking pictures of local Democrat Rallies (the first one over the Labor Day weekend) and posting slideshows and web photo galleries of our local activist and events.

This week we go up to Window Rock, Arizona, where the Tribal Headquarters for the Navajo Nation is based and are part of a state Democrat parade through town. I'm looking forward to the events, taking photos, and even a little video - which will be my second video on tribal lands.

All this is so cool and I recommend it to everyone. Politics is not just issues and ideas, or ads on TV. You're not really involved until you shake the hand of your county chairperson or some other party member, and offer to help out and do what you can.

I want to defeat Republicans. I'm voting Democrat.

USA Elections2006

With only 66 days to go before USA mid-term November elections, my blog, Computer Conduit, is now focused on USA Elections2006.

So for specific information about critical and interesting races that would be the weblog to check out (see:Computer Conduit, on the sidebar here)

In order to overturn total Republican total control of both parts of Congress, Democrats need to win 6 more Senate seats and/or 15 seats in the House.

Right now the chances of that are unknown. Some say it can happen, some say it's not going to happen.

Personally, I'm going to a Democratic candidates fundraiser/forum today in my small town. We have a Republican US Senator and Republican Congressman who are expected to hold onto their seats in my Christian conservative farming and ranching community.

I don't understand how this common view of 'Christian conservative,' has been allowed to pull the wool over people's eyes for so long.

People who support a foreign invasion for proven false reasons are NOT Christians; they are warmongers.

But, like the Bushshit Administration they do evil and give support to evil while waving some piety of alledged christianity in everybody's face and wrap the American flag around their murder and greed.

It's time to kick their asses out of office and recalim some shred of hope and dignity for ourselves and our nation.

Three Cheers for Mayor Rocky Anderson

Mayor Rocky Anderson, of Salt Lake City, spoke bravely against President Bushshit who was visiting Salt Lake to continue his idiotic excuses for the merits of the Iraq War.

It was unfortunately to hear from the Mayor that hundreds and hundreds of rabid pro-war supports were now hassling him.

These pro-war wolves, almost by definition are more aggressive and ruthless than normal people, so we sometimes fail to realize their vociferous and relentless attacks -- on all fronts -- against any citizen or public official who dares to challenge their warmongering policies.

So we need to get going, boost up our own energy levels, and fight these warmongers like they are fighting us -- sometimes behind the scenes in ways we don't see or fully realize.

For example, the example of Mayor Rocky Anderson is one good first example. He did a brave and honest thing but now he thinks he's in the doghouse because of all the vocal oppoents who have now phoned and emails and made public statements against him.

So we have to fight back. We have to phone and email Rocky and tell him how great it was what he did; and we have to make public statements in his support. Now. Tomorrow. And in the future with Anyone we see or hear who is speaking out against the war because now we know the other side, the prowar mongers, are doing their dirty work.

The rabid Republicans also hassle the main media outlets. They phone and email and speak in public against any common sense they hear on the air; they challenge the appearance of anti-war or anti-Administration people; they keep suggesting the media put on more of their own rabid dogs to bark out their war cries.

This is what's going on. It's like the way the Republicans turned out thousands of hacks and thugs to shout down the Supreme Court in 2000 elections, resulting in the stopping of the counting of votes in that election.

This caused Bushshit to be elected. Al Gore defeated. All this shit that has now come down and --- by fact and proof -- if all those votes WERE counted, Gore would have won!

Maybe this helps know what we're up against.

So, surf's up! Elections are happening. The dogs are out and barking and biting.

We can't stop them. We have to fight them.

Political & Media Real Patriots Speak Out

In the past few days, speaking at an American Legion Convention in Salt Lake City, UT; Vice-President Dickhead Cheny and Sec. of Defense Donald Duck Rummy stated that opponents to their war policies were: cowards, morally confused, un-American, or un-patriotic and several other same such tripe.

But the next day, current head of the DNC, Howard Dean told them off, put them in their place real straight and real clean. Basically saying such characterization are not only bushshit but attempts to cover up their own incompetence and mishandling of Iraq and other failures, like Katrinia. "it's not a question of patriotism," said Howard Dean. 'It's a question of being smart rather than dumb."

Additionally, Keith Olbermann of 'Countdown with Keith Olberman,' gave one of the best little commentary I've ever heard on TV, pretty much saying it's these current gangsters in office who are the fascist and un-Americans.

President Bushshit shows up in Salt Lake City today to address the same American Legion. The Mayor of Salt Lake is sponsoring an anti-Bushshit Rally! This is practically unheard of, unprecedented.

It is so awesome that such words and actions are now being spoken so bravely and strong. The abuses of this Republican Administration are causing more and more brave people to stand up and challoenge the take-over of our government by such hateful men; and it seems now the hatefullness of President Bushshit and his cronies are causing braver actions and braver words to be spoken. Amen. Thank God.

War=Peace & Cease Fire = Strangulation

Today it's reported that UN chief Kofi Annan arrives in Israel to urge an end to its blockade of Lebanon.

According to the UN and our national news this latest Israeli-Labanese War is in a state of 'cease-fire.' Yet air and sea blockades are cutting off basic supplies and aid while the roads in and out of the country have been destroyed.

This is like a cease fire where you stop beating someone up but continue to choke him to death.

Considering how we use words, how we cover the news (or don't cover the real news) and how our country and cultrue are full of distractions and false charades it's hard to see how we can dig ourselves out from under this pile of crap; no to mention the pure greed, corruption, and selfish 'power grabs,' that are behind it all.

Perhaps taking it one word at a time might help; and life-lessons have reinforced an idea I believe in that we have to go back to the point where mistakes were made and start fresh from there.

Thus: The Word of the Day is: Cerase Fire = Economic Strangulation.

Administration Bushshit is full of words: false words the opposite of the truth or 'disconnected' from reality, whether talking about Iraq, 'Islamic fascism,' freedom & democracy, or FEMA and Katrinia (on this first year anniversary of that disaster when the cities still lies in ruins and 95% of the empty promises of aid and cash have still yet to arrive)

What is really made in the USA today: War. Encouragement of terrorism. Hate and Fear.

The starting point for the latest decade of mistakes was certainly the election of George Bushshit - the corporate gangster who pretends to be patriotric -- so getting him out of office would at least give us all and the country a chance to start somewhat fresh.

Iran Nuclear Weapons Ambitions (INWAT)

In Shocking News today, Iran announced it was going to continue with plans for uranimum enrichment and in a Brazen Move announced the opening of a factory for making Heavy Water.

The White House and US Media threaten Iran and told it to behave, indicating more sanctions, this time UN sanction might be applied because of INWAT.

INWAT? - Iran says it has no INWAT.

The USA says that makes no difference; it must give us INWAT.

Similarily, half of yesterdays news was about the discovery of a unclaimed package with a strange ordor at Miami International Airport, parts of which were shut down. After half a day of this Fear it was revealed to be someone's unclaimed dirty underware.

But the Fear was there; there Fear was added to. INWAT2.

And on and on. Today 7 airline flights were detained due to security fears; one an Irish Air Lingus forced to land in Shannon.

All these Fears proved false. INWAT3.But the Fear was there; there Fear was added to.

Like last weeks British arrest of 24 terrorist suspects - half of whom have now been released -- Fear is Supergenerated for events that haven't even happen or proved false.

Plus, besides the false fears it has to be damaging to our country to be closing down airports due to unclaimed dirty underware; or in charade parades requiring all airline passengers to surrender their toothpaste, etc. -- yet keep more obvious bomb sources like laptop computers, digital cameras and iPods.

How long can these charades continue while real actions -- like catching bin Laden; or real brains -- like getting out of Iraq don't seem to exist (Note: We have to get out of Iraq because wars started for proven false reasons are doomed to fail; don't you think?)

It's hard to know where to begin to counter this daily assault upon all our fears and all our common sense.

Today Fox News accused the judge who recently declared Bush's wiretapping without warrent illegal of Treason! Yes...treason because she was calling for obeying the US Constitution!

But at least we all know where this ends: OIL! Israel! And Rec-Neck Fever. And USA fascist politics.

War-hawk Connecticut. U.S. Senator Liberman has been defeated in Democratic Primary. Score one for the good guys. Lies that led us into war are being rejected at the polls.

Bad News: Liberman atarts a compaign to run as Independent, threatening to split the vote 3-ways and cause the official Democratic candidate to lose. But does he have a chance? Or is the progressive anti-war candidate Ned Lamont in trouble?

Pennsylvania U.S. Republican Senator Rick Santorum gives money to Green Party to help their Green party candidate in elections; hoping to split anti-war, pro-environment vote. ANOTHER ATTEMPT BY REPUBLICANS AND WAR-MONGERS TO SPLIT THE ANTI-WAR VOTE!

More Bad News:>>> Current predictions say Republicans will still control both House and Senate. Republican gerrymandering over the last 5-years (esp. in Texas) has made the stacked-deck corrupt politics of the status quo even more in favor of the Republicans. Is there really any chance at all? Or is the USA going down the tubes with plans for 15-20 years more of war in Iraq, Iran, and all the Middle East, and worldwide as well.

Israel Wants Peace (ha!)

During today's 'suspension of airstrikes,' by Israel in Lebanon, a convoy of Lebanonese army troops was attacked, killing seven.

Approx. 450 Lebanonese civilians killed so far, Most Woman & Children, as part of Israel's policy of 'Collective Punishment.' As significant, almost 1,000,000 (one million) made homeless. This stastiic doesn't often get mentioned but it means lives are destroyed, jobs are lost, homes are gone forever.

In Lebanon, due to Israel attacks of collective punishment, there is: No Petrol/gas to get away; no roads to travel on, no borders to cross to escape, no food to eat, little remaining electric or water works.

At places like IsraelForum.com (click title above to go there) these policies are not only defended but even gloated over.

It sucks. Our USA policies also suck. They are also a world-wide threated to greater war, perhaps nuclear war which may start to bring some of this pain and damage we are doing home. We are making worldwide enemies for life.

What for? Oil & Israel. Not 'Freedom & Democracy,' which President Bushshit said on TV today, has been saying for the past year, and will probably be saying tomorrow.

The alternative? Energy independence. Develop alternative energy sources. Develop some renewable energy sources. Put our billions and billions of dollars (actually now estimated to be Half-a-Trillion dollars spent - thus far - on this shit); so instead we should be putting our money into making jobs, improving our own infrastructure, providing education and opportunity for people. And telling red-neck mother*uckers to go to hell.

The War Against Terrorist &The Israeli Wars

Admittedly there are totally opposite views about this New World War, the Israeli Wars and the potential for wide-scale nuclear war; it depends whether you are a "cowboy," or an "Indian."

The poster, above, represents My View, 4sure, and any other way of looking at it is both short-sighted and ignorant of history, Not that this is anything surprising in USA policies or propaganda.

After being speechless for a few days I wrote this reasonable critique:

"As Israel continues with it's invasion of Lebannon, it's ongoing destruction of Gaza, and now makes 'war-talk' against Syria and Iran, I can't help but wonder what I get out of all this?

Nothing, except to see my nation drained of resources, money, blood, focus, time and energy.

I sence many others are cutting through the propaganda and one-step-at-a-time we can delete our current misguided policies and delete those leaders who support such destructive and squanderous programs."

Today President Bushshit actually said that yesterday's rocket test by North Korea was headed for Hawaii.

The North Koreas are trying to bomb Hawaii?

Today President Bushshit said Iran is threatening world stability by proceeding to develop nuclear power. He also blames Russia and China for going along with them.

Russian and China better shape up and start obeying our Press Releases?

And, of course, the Israeli Wars are now in high-gear with land, sea, and air attacks in the Gaza. After 20-years of dragged out and false promises of the Gaza being independent and free -- which never happened -- now they are once again being starved and beaten to death.

WASHINGTON -- When I hear U.S. officials describe the suicides of three Muslim prisoners at Guantanamo Bay last Saturday as "asymmetric warfare" and "a good PR move,"
I know it's time to close that camp -- not just because of what it's doing to the prisoners but because of how it is dehumanizing the American captors.

I so totally agree with what written in one USA newspaer, today (1st paragraph quoted above) Suicides no 'PR stunt.'

It is typical, perhaps human nature, to not care about your enemy; to dehumanize the enemy; to mock and insult the enemy. I find it happens to me in sports, for example.
I may even think some player from some team is a good guy and a good player BUT when he plays my home team I wouldn't mind seeing him break a leg! Exaggerating, naturally

But after the suicides of three of the 'Gitmo prisoners' when one USA Defense Dept. official said it was: "A good PR stunt," that made me sick to my stomach.

We do hardened and hurt ourselves when we feed only on hate and now it seems like the USA & Israel are the new-nazis, with the hardest hearts.

War is ok when truly defending yourself. But to pretend you're the innocent one while actually being the one always on the attack is a sickness of some kind.

What's the problem? The problem is we were once noted for having human rights and encouraging them around the world. Now we have despoiled ourselves and our reputations and are turning into the very style of repressive government that we once use to condemn.

We torture people in our prisons. We've killed some of them in jail. We also sexually assault people in our prisons.
We refuse to release the names of people in our prisons. We refuse to even file official charges against them. We hold them for years with out any hope of trial or release.

The two people we have in jail who were actually involved in 9/11 (rather than that idiot Moussaoui) have apparently been so "messed over with" and tortured that our government is afraid of ever putting them on a witness stand or having them appear in court.

The problem? Well, besides the emotional and moral issues that some may feel, one of the problems is that now all this can be done to us, to our troops, to our citizens with the rationale that we'd just be getting a taste of our own medicine.

We are, therefore, no better than those we claim to be 'savages.'

We are also alienating nations that use to support us. We are following a doomed and destructive strategies, we are practicing bad tactics and procedures. We are now showing ourselves as bad as those we call "terrorist.'

And if you don't believe this, it makes no difference: the rest of the world believes it.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A decorated Marine colonel turned anti-war congressman said Wednesday that Marines killed at least 30 innocent Iraqi civilians "in cold blood" in Haditha in November, suggesting the attack is twice as bad as originally reported.

Rep. John Murtha, D-Pennsylvania, told reporters Wednesday that he got his information from U.S. commanders, who said the investigation will show that the Marines deliberately killed the civilians.

The U.S. Marine Corps has declined to comment on the report, which initially stated that 15 were killed.

"There was no firefight. There was no IED that killed these innocent people. Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood," Murtha said.

From the BBC: Today/A US court has dismissed a lawsuit brought by a German citizen who says he was kidnapped and beaten by the CIA. Khaled el-Masri aimed to sue former CIA chief George Tenet and other officials for their alleged role in the "extraordinary rendition" programme.

Mr el-Masri says he was picked up in Macedonia in 2003 and flown to Kabul, Afghanistan, where he alleges torture.

The judge did not rule on the truth of the allegations, but said letting the case proceed might endanger security.
Rights group the American Civil Liberties Union brought the case on behalf of Mr el-Masri - who was never charged with any terrorist offences.

Besides Mr Tenet, the case named 10 other CIA employees, as well as three other companies and their employees.In times of war, our country must often take exceptional steps to thwart the enemy.

However, the district court judge in Virginia rejected the challenge, saying Mr el-Masri's "private interests must give way to the national interest in preserving state secrets".

Lebanese-born Mr el-Masri had demanded compensation and an apology from Mr Tenet and several other CIA figures.He has alleged he was beaten and injected with drugs after being seized near Macedonia's border with Albania, before being taken to Afghanistan and held for five months.

In his ruling, Judge TS Ellis stressed that by rejecting Mr el-Masri's lawsuit he made no judgement on the strength or otherwise of his allegations.

"[The result reached here] is in no way an adjudication of, or comment on, the merit or lack of merit of Mr el-Masri's complaint," he said.

After writing about this 10 days ago I did wonder what had happen? Here's a story like May-Li, in Vietnam, like many stories of what really happens, is happening in war. The photo above are the bodies of the family, shot in their home, by U.S. soldiers, in revenge.

"There is an ongoing investigation; therefore, any comment at this time would be inappropriate and could undermine the investigatory and possible legal process. As soon as the facts are known and decisions on future actions are made, we will make that information available to the public to the fullest extent allowable."

Murtha held the news conference to mark six months since his initial call for "redeployment" of U.S. forces from Iraq.

He said U.S. forces were under undue pressure in Iraq because of poor planning and allocation of resources by the Bush administration."

The recent revelation of the deliberate murder of innocent Iraqi woman and children, by US Marines certainly documents "bad behavior," not to mention the torture and secret prisons.

In a historically unprecendented public announcements, 7 or 8 hight ranking past generals have criticised the tactics of this war in Iraqi. (Most of them actually wanted more troops -- what a surprise).

But, in my opinion, the even more important issue of strategy (and intelligence) of our nation has been an abysmal faiure throughout my lifetime. Have our policies in our own 'backyard' of Central & South America, and the Caribbean been successful? Has it made us friends?

Our current global policies also seem to have made nations that were once our allies for the last 50-years, and the very core of our own civilization and culture, where we came from.
Yet, now the vast majority of the people in Europe: in England, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switerland are no longer our allies and friends.

We have to build phony 'coalitions,' where it's 100,000 our own troops and 2,000 of theirs; and pretend this is real.

Has our stragedy in the Middle East helped US in any way?

Are we making friends in the India/Pakistan area, or only adding to the troubles.

Should the Russians or Chinese want to do us any favors?

Can we only motivate ourselves and others by Hate & Fear and Divisiveness!!

Have the Drug Wars worked out?
Does our Immigrantion Policy work?
Our real finances, jobs and opportunity any better? Or is is just better for corporate pigs.

Do we seek consensus and unity, do we work towards solutions and make 'em happen? Why are their still, to this day, still 12,000 FEMA trailers rotting away, unused, in a field in Alabama (while FEMA still pays 'rent' on 'em!).

It was reported today that suspicions of a deliberate massacre of Iraqi men, woman and children, by US Marines is how being exposed by photographs.

The Pentagon has said that perhaps the Marines were: "overzealous."

Puppet Governments & Distorted Democracy

Today Sec. of State Rice is in Iraq admittedly putting pressure on our puppet government there to get it's act together and get on with forming a democracy. Amazingly, while doing this in the public glare of worldwide media, she claims there is no undue interference or pressure on Iraq's democratic process.

For those of us who may have forgotten, our reason for being in Iraq now is: 'to spread democracy.'
The USA initial reason was to get the weapons of mass destruction, but that didn't work out.

The civil war in Iraq seems sto be working out ok for American interest. Divide and conquer policies now have
the 'fledgingly democracy' in Iraq realize it may need to be broken up into three separate states, one for the
Kurds, one for the Sunni and one for the Shia. But their constitutional talks still stall over who gets how much oil revenues.

A Constitution that stalls over the issues of who gets how much oil revenues is NOT exactly what many of us thought constitutions were about. The fact that the new democracy we formed in Afghistan wanted to kill someone for converting to Christianity did not seem like progress towards democracy.

However, there was the election of an actualy democracy in the imprisoned Gaza Strip but we and others are busy cutting off its funds, invading its territory and smearing its leaders before they even have gotten in office.

The message is real clear and we all knew it from the beginning: We support governments that agree with us and oppose governments that don't. It has nothing to do with 'spreading democracy,' finding weapons of mass destruction, or any other excuses we make up.

Most people in the country don't think anyone should be able to wander in and get food stamps, free education, housing support and health care.
Politicans seem to be raging between fascist-type felon penalities and mass round ups and deportations of those who entered the country illegally; and the other side saying it's all a-ok.
The situation now has resulted in the greatest public outcry, on both sides, since the Vietnam War.

The situation is now so radioactive it now appears Congress is going to drop it like a hot potato, worried about
offending one group or the other prior to the upcoming Novemember 2006 elections, 8 months away.

Considering all the previous Bush-shit we've had to contend with, you have to wonder what "smart borders," are.
Right now, it sound like a PR term, rather than reality.

Yea, "smart borders," whatever the heck that is suppose to mean, sounds good but also just sounds like another 'disconnect' of this Administration from reality. They put more of their energy into phony public relations rather than dealing with reality (like the disaster in New Orleans, still stinking like garbage while the business leaders and White House want to pretend its time for Mardi Gras).

'Smart Borders!?" I doubt it. What a great idea for a fascist. I didn't know this till today but when researching this concept of 'Global War,' I discovered the military already actually has a medal for it. All you have to do is spend 30-days overseas and

This was not only before approaching the UN (which was apparently just and attempt at window dressing) BUT even before the ongoing UN weapons inspections were done.

All their empty words about threats, patriotism, security were, and continue to be, lies and a betrayal of the American people, the UN and the world we claim to protect and care about.

The same report indicates the Vice-President and his "democracy through the barrel of a gun" cohort were pushing for this war from Day One, their first day in office.

The White House said today, in response to this revelation of deception, that "We should not attempt to rewrite history."

In fact, history is often rewritten as more and more facts come out; history is also rewritten by the shifting viewpoints of time or politics; and that more versions of history exist than that approved by the White House.

The more disturbing fact is the consistent White House attempt and the attempts of the rampant right-wing media to shout people down, shut people up; (as they did back in the disputed 2004 elections).

History is not written in one day or one day after the fact. Nobody is "rewriting" history to bring out the truth of these government deceptions; the true history is finally coming out.

Now, with the same lies, they want to march us off into Iran. Even if Iran was an immediate threat (which I don't believe), who would believe them.

Or North Korea. Can we go and fight them now.

And what about the renewed efforts to make us fear our old Cold War enemies of Russia and China?

News reports today talked about how the CIA had a mole deep into Iraq before the war started in March, 2003.
This significant embedded spy, former Foreign Minister Najir Sabri, got paid hundred's of thousands of dollars and he said there were NO WMD'S!

What part of NO does the CIA not understand?

To put this in perspective, it was also announced today that thousands of FBI government employees do not have a work-based email address!!

The "perspective" here is that these people are incompetent fools and self-aggrandizing, selfish self-promoters with dilusions of competence.

They portray themselves as if they are James
Bond rather than the Keystone cops. The FBI can read OUR emails now, but they don't have their own!!!!!

When will the reality check kick in!? For them and George Bush.

It's startling, actually, how long blant lies and "disconnects" from truth and/or reality can last.

But, this government is not God, or real idealistic patriotics, or those who care about the average people or this country....these are just the illusions they wave in front of our faces to cover up their real nature and real actions.

Iraqi Civil War or Not a Civil War

You really have to be an idiot to speak the way our military and political leaders do. It started with a simple thing like: "roadside bomb," becoming an IED: "Improvised Explosive Device." Who talks this way? Why?

And everytime bin Laden's name comes up and people begin to wonder why, nearly five years later, he's still running around loose, our military and political leaders says things like: "Maybe he's dead. Maybe he's in Iran. Maybe he's gone to visit his uncle."

Gosh....it only took four years to get Hitler, and he had an army and everything.

Now we are daily being confused about the Civil War; or Not a Civil War. Is it a Civil War? What has to happen for it to be an official Civil War?

Is this part of the insurgency? Or terrorism? Al-Qaeda? Ethnic Cleansing. Tribal Rivals? Iran influences. Weak Syrian borders.

Civil War? Not a Civil War? It's always somebody's elses fault and nobody knows what's really going on or telling the truth.

It sure is not a picnic, that's for sure. More like a bad date with FEMA -- and that's only on the good days when no one gets killed.

And the last day no one got killed?

U.S. Senator Proposes Presidential Censure

A "censure" of a President has only happened once before in US history, 1834, against Andrew Jackson.
It seems very few in Congress support Senator Finegold's proposal. Critics say he's been reading too many weblogs, or that Congress is too busy to deal with "symbolic" resolutions.

But no, I disagree with the critics of this idea. Censure. Impeach. Get the guy out of office. If this was a parlimentary system like the rest of the world has, this government would have been shut down long ago.

Despite Republicans who are always shouting down any ideas, or Democrats who appear afraid
of talking a stand on the issues, at least this action will put people on the record, one way or the others.

Thus, unfortunately, that means it will probably never come up for a vote.

Just retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, at Georgetown University said - today - "It takes a lot of degeneration before a nation becomes a dictatorship, but we can avoid that end if we avoid that beginning."

She complained of Right-wing stocking of the court (while complainting of left-wing "judicial activist.")

Like the Right-wing complains of the alleged domination of "left-wing media," in fact we are dominated by them, the right-wing demigods.

Demigods who shout down ideas rather than debate them. It's sickening. They complain of free speech but don't engage the issues.

They set up "straw opponents" and they burn 'em down. They set up false sterotyped exaggerated ideas of the opposition, they knock 'em down like bowling pins.

The problem with this current White House and President has been called: "disconnect," and/or "bull*hit."

They say things that sound good, but behind the deception is bull*hit. Pure, hot and stinking.

Sorry to be so crude but on yesterdays news it was reported that six months after horrific huricane Katrinia -- SIX MONTHS AFTER THIS! -- (and after the hyped-up Marti Gras 'festivities), sniffer dog teams has been relaunched to find bodies.

Six months after Katrina they are now beginning to pull drowned and bloated bodies out of houses; pull 'em out by the hundreds.

You may have to be a sniffer dog to smell the rot of decaying flesh in an attic, but you don't have to have such a sensitive nose to smell the bull*hit; pure, hot and stinking, stinking like the dead bloated bodies only just now being pulled out of homes.

This governmnet is not righteous, it is not brave, it is not acting for the good of the people; this government is more like FEMA; in fact, this government is FEMA.

Next, I suppose, we could consider the alleged most-touted attribute of Republicans: that they are fiscal conservative.

They are tought. They are pro-life. They are fiscal conservatives. While approx. 4,000 illegal aliens cross the border illegally from Mexico into Arizona EVERY DAY! EVERY DAY! 4,000 undocumented people enter the USA, just in the state of Arizona (where I live).

Our governor has declared a national emergency. She has now, this week, called out the National Guard.

While 4,000 illegals come into the country EVERY DAY! just in Arizona; Congress claims to be concerned about "port security." Congress makes laws that hassle normal air travelers.

Maybe 5 or 10 illegals might slip in once a year, while 4,000 come in every day into Arizona.

I don't like to use crude words. But this is bull*hit; pure, hot and stinking; like dead bodies bloated in attics six months after a storm nearly totally wiped out an American city.

We have to face these facts before we can change them. This is the true "disconnect."

Double-Nuclear Standards, et. al.

Last week the President, Bush, traveled to India.
India has a start-up industry in nuclear power and nuclear bombs.
Officially everyone was suppose to pretend this was not true.
India did not sign the "Nuclear Non-Profiliation Treaty," and for that reason they were portrayed as a bad nation, though other nations, like Israel do the same, officially everyone is suppose to pretend this also is not true, but according to USA policy, this is ok.

In a new series in this web-log, each of these ridiculous lies will be disensembled because we are so deep in *hit and over our heads in a swamp that the need to clearly exit from all this deception is necessary.

Number One/Big One: It is a double-standard to allow Israel to have nuclear weapons and/or power; but to tell India (and Iran) they can not.

Although the fierce USA right-wing media propaganda campaign would like us all to see it differently, not only can ration people NOT see it differently, but all the other nations of the world do not see this situation (or other situations) through the foggy mist of US lies.

RE: Presidential Elections 2008

If you're a Democrat:
From now and through the primaries, support and vote for Bill Richardson, currently Governor of New Mexico, former congresman, former USA Ambassador to the United Nations and former head of the Dept. of Energy.
Bill would be a good Democratic candidate for President. Besides his vast experience, he's mainstream enough that he may have a chance, but also has some progressive and positive points of view.
Additionally he is a politician who, if nothing else, actually DOES things, not just talk about them.

If you're a Republican:
From now and through the primaries, support and vote for Ruddy Giuliani as the Republican candidate for
President. For all the same reasons as Bill Richardson. Ruddy Giuliani came to national attention on 9/11 and in the months and years afterwards. He was the Mayor of New York City on the day of that attack and he showed a most valuable trait: leadership; and once again, not just words, but words backed up by actions.

If you're Independent, or Third Party:
As far as the Presidential race is concerned: Tell the Greens and all other 3rd Parties that third parties only work in a Parliamentary system; and encourage them and other third parties to first work for a parliamentary system before launching national candidates doomed to lose.

Note: There are benefits to a Parliamentary system. Number One: All votes gain a share of government and representation, Third parties can be started and can get significant leverage to influence policies. Governments that fail the people and lose confidence can be tossed out at any time; without the need to wait for the next election.

RE: Upcoming 2006 "Mid-term Elections." Advice to ALL/ Option One.

In this years' Mid-term election, Option One: Vote against all Republicans. If nothing else, this will not only send a "signal," of discontent and unhappiness concerning current political failures, but hopefully provide new leaders not only with better ideas and respect for American people and principles, but new leaders who will see that policies of failure, hate and divisiveness will not be tolerated.

RE: Upcoming 2006 "Mid-term Elections." Advice to ALL/Option Two
In this years' Mid-term election, Option Two: Vote against ALL incumbents; this will also send a signal and have the same values as Option One.

2 Complicated 2 Discuss

I actually read those words today, in a "discussion," about photo-video parameters in computer uses.
It seems there are many variables: HD TV or regular TV; 16:9 widescreen TV or 4:3 traditional profile ratio; out on TV (which uses rectingular pixels) or output on computer screens (which uses square pixels); and not to mention frames per second, image resolution, varied International formats, etc.

It made me think of our current political entanglements and a joke about a lost car driver asking for directions and being told:
"You can't get there from here!?"

Fortunately, since the TV format discussion was scientific it had to come up with a proposed solution to understand the problem.

The solution?

The proposed solution in the TV format discussion was to break the problem down into manageable and understandable components.

As I continued along this thread it also struck me that it was useful to:
      1) Know where you were coming from; specifically, in this TV case, what precise type of video material was I generating. What were, precisely, all it's specific parameters.
   2) What output/outcome did I want?

It struck me that these ideas would also be useful for political problem solving as well as a host of other issues.
