Messages to Space.

This pic (above) comes from a NASA site and is an actualy message sent by a SETI group to the Universe.
How, I wonder, are any aliens suppose to understand a message than most of us here on earth do not
have a clue about?

Perhaps these SETI folks should become politicians, since their messages are as garbled, confused
and clueless.

I've often thought of trying to sum up or explain the incredible distortions of propaganda. The one
I heard last night, on CNN, was that Mary -- - known to Roman Catholics as THE VIRGIN
MARY THE MOTHER OF GOD (!) -- that she was probably a supporter and active member of Jewish
resistence groups battling the Romans!?

I don't wishs to veer into the difficult topic of religion and I'm certainly no theologian of current
Catholic dogma but, in general, I don't recall hearing this new opinion about Mary.

Perhaps, though, if we could just decode this SETI message...oh Lord...if now the Mother of
God is portrayed as an active member of a militant resistence group, oh Lord, if this
is what we tell ourselves what are we telling the aliens!?

Perhaps we shouldn't be sending out any messages to aliens anyhow. They might find
out where we are and come down here and eat us or something. Who could blame them!?

Christian, as I recall, actually has a lot, I mean -- a whole bunch -- of words by Jesus
about loving one another, being meek, having mercy and specifically NOT getting involved
in militant struggles against Rome ("Give unto Caesar what is Caesars, etc.).

They say the first victim of war is: The Truth.

Now politicans tell us we're in an Endless Globar War.

I guess this sends truth out the window. Maybe, of course, we could
wrap the truth around a rocket ship and send it into space.

I'm sure if the aliens got the Truth of our human species they wouldn't come down here and
eat us after all; they'd probably stay as far away as possible.

The SETI message, BTW, has Big Important Information, something like:
0 + 0 = 0; 0-0 = 0; 1+ 0 = 1; 1+1=2.

And, as we know, 2+2=4.
