Just retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, at Georgetown University said - today - "It takes a lot of degeneration before a nation becomes a dictatorship, but we can avoid that end if we avoid that beginning."
She complained of Right-wing stocking of the court (while complainting of left-wing "judicial activist.")
Like the Right-wing complains of the alleged domination of "left-wing media," in fact we are dominated by them, the right-wing demigods.
Demigods who shout down ideas rather than debate them. It's sickening. They complain of free speech but don't engage the issues.
They set up "straw opponents" and they burn 'em down. They set up false sterotyped exaggerated ideas of the opposition, they knock 'em down like bowling pins.
We need to fix this. Now, and for tomorrow's best hopes.
67% of country, today, according to the media, feels our country is on the wrong track, and 60% of the people disapprove of the job George Bush is doing.
In a Parlimentary system of democracy (which ever other democracy on the face of the earth has -- because it's fairer)...in a parlimentary democracy George Bush and his whole dispicable, corrupt, war-mongering, greedy and glouttonus administration would be thrown out on their asses.
Greedly Corrupt Gloutonous Age of America; here we are, now; as a nation and as a people.
