Ling, Lee and the Gitmo Detainees
“Torture is a crime.”
citizenbfk
Said on the day of Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani is moved today from Gitmo to NY - soon he's going to have a trial. He must be one of the 'bad guys,' who we have evidence and charges filed against him.
And he only had to spend three years in a prison noted for torture, abuse, sexual and other humiliations before having his day in court.
Now the States whines about compassion for Ling & Lee.

Russian Reset Button U.S. Reset
"We reached an agreement on how 'reset' is spelled in both Russian and English - we have no differences between us any more,"
Russian Foreign Minister, Mr Sergey Lavrov, after receiving a button from Sec. of State Hillary Clinton which used the wrong Russian word for ‘reset,“ and actually read: ”Here’s to overloading the fuse box on new relations.“
COMMENT:
This underscores how difficult a whole treaty must if just one word can be wrong and one word was the whole message!
Now, put that in Arabic, and then wrap it up with a tendency of politicians, diplomats and nations to avoid any harsh truths, not counting the outright liar, the challenges of the world become clearer: we're a bunch of chattering chimps (and sometimes, chumps)
People have reported the word: Peregruzka, means 'overloaded or overcharged." When Ms. Clinton was told this she handled it well, laughed and said, "Well, we're not going to let you over charge us."
But I think the nuance of the word is like an electrical circuit being overcharged (not over charged like on a shopping trip, showing has misspeaking can lead to more and language skills are not easy.
I think the button tells the Russian's that our relationship was is like an overloaded fuse box...that needs to be reset (like you can reset fuses). Frankly, that's probably a pretty good way of looking at it.
What President Obama means by 'reset,' is still not certain. Perhaps he's thinking of his Blackberry PDA that occasionally needs to be reset. Or did he mean "reboot," like rebooting a computer?
The red button, though, was probably a better gift than giving the Russians and old fishing boot or something.
Thank God for small favors.

Sources of False Intel Iraq Identified
"If we're not dead yet, it's time to wake up."
citizenbfk, commenting on Press Release, belowPRESS RELEASE: ISIS ACCUSED OF BLACK OPS - SOURCES OF FALSE INTEL IRAQ IDENTIFIED
Yesterday A.C.T. (American Citizens Together) published online in it’s weekly Political Action News the accusation that ISIS (Institute for Science and International Security
Last week's report by ISIS about Iran WMD and it's testimony at the Foreign Affairs Committee killed the truth and falsely spread lies and fear.
Also a report revealing the sources of a prime piece of false intel used to falsely justify the Iraq War was put online, revealing who from the Bush era Office of the Secretary of Defense and who from within the U.S. intelligence community created and planted the Niger uranium forgeries -- the forged documents claiming that Saddam Hussein was trying to buy yellowcake uranium from Niger.

President Obama responds to Republican Stimulus Plan critics
Friday, February 06, 2009
Republicans Wake Up on Wrong Side of the Bedrock
Maybe not realizing they suffered a substantial repudiation to their policies Republicans have been criticizing President Obama in these first two weeks of his new administration as if we cared. And the mainstream media has continued to cover such criticisms as if either they were news or they were valid.
But Obama scored a victory for his Economic Stimulus Bill in the Senate today. A version passed the House last week. Here are the words that really mean something:
“It is inexcusable and irresponsible to get bogged down in distraction and delay while millions of Americans are being put out of work, Americans, did not want to turn back to the same tried and failed approaches that were rejected in the last election.”

One Quote from White House Press Release on the Economy
"President Bush's proposal on dividends ameliorates the double-taxation of corporate profits, ending the incentives in our tax code #1 to over-leverage business, with the consequence of too much debt and vulnerability to the business cycle, and #2 to over-rely on accounting numbers rather than the pay-out of cash. His proposal on expensing of capital expenditures will help invigorate our economic recovery."

The Pentagon: The Designers of Guantanamo Bay Injustice
The news event yesterday that stirred this post was: Bin Laden's driver convicted of Terrorism. For reasons given below this strikes me as justice like FEMA was a rescue of New Orleans.
Unfortunately there is no single face to point the blame at here. Bush, Cheney, White House lawyers and warmongering neocons certainly, but then again it was a vast majority in Congress that passed the law, the Military Commissions Act, in 2006, setting up the travesty of these military courts in Guantanamo Bay and the previous Detainee Treatment Act of 2005 that allows for the continuation of CIA-run secret prisons and treatment that the rest of the world calls torture but the White House deceitfully calls "harsh interrogation," or physical coercion which is allowed and from which "evidence," is allowed.
But the Pentagon has to be considered the ultimate National Villains in this case. They are the ones who also lobbied for and staged this fiasco; and despite all the platitudes we are expected to repeatedly give to the U.S. military this makes it clear their hands and their hearts are not clean.
ALL the 'evidence,' that convicted bin Laden's chauffeur came from statements under torture.
So many previously believed U.S. values have been cheapen and trashed by this that it's difficult to know where to begin. There is a link on the title of this post and it leads to a British headline that reads:
"Guantanamo Bay is just a farcade (edifice) of justice."and some reasons of why this is a travesty and disgrace for America are printed there. An article in Newsweek points out that even if this kangaroo court had any value only one-third of the prisoners are scheduled to have a trial and the other two-thirds will stay in prison because they have (subjectively) been declared by someone as: "unlawful enemy combatants." a new definition, this issue of indefinite detention without trial was also mentioned by the BBC
It's been reported that even if this driver was found not guilty he would still stay in jail, reported by the Christian Science Monitor,The Washington Post that same aarticle in the BBCthe international edition of Britsh pressGlobe&Mail and of course, Amnesty International
The fact that this man would stay in jail even if found innocent is what make it clear to me that this is no justice at all.
Other have pointed out the issues of allowing secret evidence, hearsay evidence
evidence derived through "coercise interrogations," years without a lawyer, short limited access to a lawyer just before the trial, limits on the laywer, 40 interrogations without notification of "Mirandia rights," courtroom attendance by invitation only and sometimes a totally closed court, and unidentified jury and the need for only 2/3 of the jury for criminal conviction are also against American previous principles of justice.
It bothers some too that the crime he was found guilty of was not the crime he was arrested for and charged with in the first prosecution attempt. (This was the third trial of Hamdan who 'won,' a Supreme Court victory that scrapped the first version of these Guantanamo military court systems in 2006).
And it bothers some that the crime he was convicted of was not a law unti years after his arrest and many feel it was a law, a new idea of what's a "war crime," that was specifically designed to fit his case, the prosecutors only had to prove that Hamdan knew the people he was driving around were involved in war and the evidence was that he admitted that.
There was no evidence or charge that Hamand ever killed anyone, wounded anyone, blew up anything or ever fired a weapon of any sort.
In truth, BTW, Hamdan didn't "win," anything in that Supreme Court decision because he remained in jail and will remain in jail as this case is appealed (which has already begun) and will probably wind up in the Supreme Court again, and, if so, Hamdan will still stay in jail even if the Supreme Court decides in his favor. He's just a prisoner who has become a political football and another incident that the Bush White House will delay and delay until they are out of office and it's someone else's problem.
To this this is a "fair trial," -- as the White House and Pentagon claim -- is to either be successfully fooled by the government, or to be a fool. If anyone thinks this is justice then I can only hope they will experience it for themselves someday.
The Pentagon -- National Villains.

Our First Media Award
This news stations has the motto: "Fair and Balanced."
Think about that. One of the most notorious, sickening, disgusting and distorted right-wing, neo-con, warmongering media station in the nation daily advertises itself as: "fair and balanced."
This is an aspect of spin and deep propaganda: You just say the opposite of the truth. Plain and simple. Say the opposite of the truth. Say it everyday. Say it with a straight face.
I had no idea such Bold Faced Lies could be so outrageous, so blantant.
But I guess that is exactly what Bold Face Lies means.
That's what Fox News should be saying everyday: "Fox News: Home of Bold Faced Lies."
Dang. It's really bad. It was one thing when I thought of it as a joke but it's damage is real. Since people can't be arrested or hung for Bold Faced Lies, maybe we could arrest and hang them for treason (after a trial, of course).

Congressman Lantos: Middle East Warmonger
William Lantos was a strong supporter of the 1991 Persian Gulf War. During the run-up to the war, Lantos used his Congressional Human Rights Caucus to host a well-spoken young Kuwaiti woman identified only as "Nurse Nayirah", who told of horrific abuses by Iraqi soldiers, including the killing of Kuwaiti babies by taking them out of their incubators and leaving them to die on the cold floor of the hospital. These alleged atrocities figured prominently in the rhetoric at the time about Iraqi abuses in Kuwait. This story later proved to be a complete fabrication. "Nurse Nariyah" was, in fact the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States, and had been coached on this story by the PR firm of Hill & Knowlton, who were paid $14 million by representatives of the Government of Kuwait to create a PR campaign to generate U.S. support for an invasion. Hill & Knowlton also provided free office space to the Congressional Human Rights Foundation (distinct from the similarly named caucus), of which Lantos was co-chair at the time.
Besides using these deliberate and fabricated lies to start the first Persian Gulf war this zsionist extremist also was a big advocate of the current war in Iraq and helped pushed those lies too.
Now he is now stirring up 100-year old accusations and charges of genocide against Turkey!?
This is perplexing. What is the politics behind this? Why now?
To be clear about the genocide charges, BTW, it seems there were mass killings and maybe way more than a million souls sent to death. But why now? And also, what about the issue of potential genocide in Darfur? Or if you want to go back into the past what about policies of the British causing genocide in Ireland? Or what about the surrent slow starvation of over a million people in Palestine, in the Gaza strip?
Of course the USA is never going to accuse Britian of genocide. And of course the USA is never going to accuse Israel of genocide. And of course the USA's own policies of genocide against Native American Indians is not going to be mentioned: So it is clear there is politics involved in all this and considering Lantos' history and Zealot extremist ideology one can only conclude it has something to do with stirring up more trouble and unrest in the Middle East.
I guess Turkey (a current USA ally is now to be added to the list of Bad States in the Middle East, to go along with Iraq, Iran, Jordon, Syria, Saudia Arabia, Dubai, all of the Arab Emirates, etc.
But none of this bodes well for the USA. Now it specifically and clearly turns a former ally against us (at a most critical time when that ally feels it necessary to possibly invade in norther Iraq Kurdish terroritories!).
The Turks, BTW, FYI -- for the info of us all -- are not a 'weak,' people noted for being pushed around. Quite the Opposite! Consider the expression: 'Young Turk,' for example. It means: 'Tough Dude.'
Yup, not we're messing around not only with a (probably 'former;) ally but with a bunch of tough dudes. This clearly is not in American interest.

US wars in Lebanon and Iran underway now
The USA, in covert actions, is supplying cash and weapons to Sunni terrorist groups in Lebanon to fight Shitite terrorist groups in Lebanon as part of ongoing actions and war plans to attack Shitite Iran...either for Oil and Israel or for safety, security, freedom and democracy.

US Senator Lindsey Grahman: Wrongheaded Warmonger, plus
Listening to this guy is like listening to former Confederate President Jefferson Davis. Besides his know association with defending the Confederate flag (which belongs in a museum, not our courthouses), he's also a big supporter of the 'global economy,' which means encouraging and allowing the removal of US jobs and companies to foregin companies overseas, cheap labor markets. Although this is not such a 'glamorous,' issue, in the long run it may spell the death of a proud workforce and our ability to make what we need for ourselves.
But, even worse, he's such a warmonger it's like listening to little Mussolini, all set to march the country off to war based on Slogans and Rhetoric rather than truth or concern for the people of his nation.

Richard Perle -Oil Baron & Zionist Vampire Sucking on America
According to former CIA Director Tenet, in his book that came out this week, the very day, the very next day after 9/11, he ran into Richard Perle at the White House and Perle said to the CIA director: "We have to pin this on Iraq."
What else do you have to do to get arrested in this country? Or are the vice grips of USA Oil Fever and bloody apartheid Zionism so powerful that we will never be rid of their destructive influence.
In other words: Can we start impeachments or not?
When can criminal charges be filed against these bastards?
Can we get the next political party to take power, the Democrats, can we get through to them that the nation wants out of Iraq -- totally, completely. The nation wants out of the Middle East -- totally and completely. And it's only oil comapnies and zionist who led, who misled us there in the first place: the biggest pissing in the face of America in the history of our nation.
Click on title, above, or go to this link here for brief video promo that has Perle in it, saying how "easy," it would be to take over Iraq and how we'd be greeted as liberators blagh blagh blagh and all for the sake of his own pockets and religion.
